There is no recommended hole size. There is no big problem if the inlet hole and outlet hole is bigger than the hole of the dust sensor. The bigger the inlet and outlet hole is, the easier it is for dust to be taken in and the sensor reacts quickly. On the other hand, if the inlet hole is smaller than the hole of the dust sensor, air intake will be insufficient, the detection will be delayed and there is a possibility that it will be different from the actual dust concentration.
