First of all, it depends on the dust sizes you want to detect. Most of the dust in the actual air is fine particles of PM 2.5 or less. However, if you wish to detect large dust such as pollen, I think mesh hole may need to be bigger. If the hole of the mesh is too big, large dust tends to accumulate on the sensor. On the other hand, if the hole of the mesh is too small, the dust will clog.
So for us to provide further guidance on the hole size of mesh, we need clarification on the detection area/sizes you want to measure. if it is necessary for us to give a suggested number, we decided that the mesh hole size of about 10 μm is reasonable.
